Here we go...
- rax - short for Barracks, Terran production building
- lings - short for Zerglings, Zerg grounf units
- speedlings - Zerglings with speed upgrade
- mutas - short for Mutalisks, Zerg air units
- rines - short for marines, Terran units
- hydras - short for Hydralisks, Zerg ground units
- ultras - short for Ultralisks, Zerg ground units
- workers - SCV, Probe, Drone, units that are responsible for mineral/vespene gas gathering, and building structures
- rush - situation when in early game a player attacks opponent with first produced unit(s), mostly targeted to opponents mineral line (reaper rush, banshee rush etc.)
- scout - any unit used for purpose of revealing fog of war and giving sight to opponents forces, buildings and movements. Usualy one of the workers is first scout, but any other unit can be used for the purpose, specially overlords and Protoss observers
- nat - natural expansion, mineral field that is usually closest to your main mase
- toss - short for Protoss
- choke - in early game you build your structures on your base entrance in front of a narrow ramp to prevent enemy getting inside your base
- ZvT, PvZ... - X versus Y, used to denote match partcipants (Zerg, Terran, Protoss)
- GG - "good game", used at the end of match in ingame chat
- WP - "well played"
- GL - "good luck"
- HF - "have fun"
- BO - building order, the order at which you build structures and units in your game start
- CC - Command Center, Terran building
- OC - Orbital Command, Command Center upgraded with Scanner Sweep, used to detect cloaked and burrowed units, Calldown mule or additional Supply Addon
- PF - Planetary Fortress, Command center with attached Twin Ibiks Cannon
- BC - Battlecruiser, Terran air unit
- DT - Dark Templar, Protoss unit
- HT - High templar, protoss unit
- OP - OverPowered, used in discusion to point that some unit is to strong thus giving unfairly advantage to the race
- MMM - typical Terran battle formation which consists of Marines/Marauders/Medivacs
- cheese - common replacement for any kind of early rush
- 6-pool - build order when Zerg player builds Spawning pool with his 6th produced Drone, Indicates early zerglings production (similar terms with number-structure pattern, 8-barracks, 9-rax, 12-hatchery etc.)
- being 6-pooled - when in match Zerg opponent attacks you (and win) with zergling rush as an result of 6-pool building order
- cannon rush - Protoss early game tactic, sending Probe inside your base and build pylon and photon cannon to harass your mineral line before you build your defense. Uncarefull player looses, and also is a risk for attacker considering his homebase defense
- 14-pool 15-hatchery - (also known as idra) Zerg buildng order known by a player who often use it
- base race - (also base swap, base trade, base switch) - mid game situation when players attack each other bases simultaneously and retreating to defend homebase would be lost of time. Players try to destroy enemy structures before their opponent to win the game.
